Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, your description is clearer,
but unfortunately I am not sure of the cause. I am setting this bug
report as new again in the hopes that someone else can help you

Hi,
here some additional information.
I switched an external LCD to VGA out and the netbook-launcher works
fine. After detaching the VGA connection, the behaviour is as before,
slow.
Some additional information concerning my configuration:

Yes, of course.
I used the Ubunutu NetBook remix 9.1 when it came out. Installed it and
everything worked fine.
Sorry if i mixed the names. The problem occurs in this netbook-launcher if
this is the correct name of the package. the one that provides menu like
access to applications,

confused by your description. Launchpad is a website. Are you
referring to the UNR desktop? Maybe it can be clearer if you can
provide a step-by-step description of how to experience this issue.
