Hi, here some additional information. I switched an external LCD to VGA out and the netbook-launcher works fine. After detaching the VGA connection, the behaviour is as before, slow. Some additional information concerning my configuration: 00:02.1 Display controller [0380]: Intel Corporation

Yes, of course. I used the Ubunutu NetBook remix 9.1 when it came out. Installed it and everything worked fine. Sorry if i mixed the names. The problem occurs in this netbook-launcher if this is the correct name of the package. the one that provides menu like access to applications,
