Just to update, I've tried several other drivers with different results.
None give me a fully working tablet.
The closest I can get is working click/movement but pressure doesn't
work. This was using linuxwacom-0.8.4-4.tar.bz2 with patched wmcUSB.c.

I can confirm that I have seen the same behaviour with my waltop/aiptek
tablet. Frustratingly it works "out of the box" with 9.04
When trying to use the tablet with Gimp you need to go to
edit/preferences and activate the tablet as an input device. There is a
