Hmm, looks like I should have written all information at once.
Oh well.
I see exactly the behavior that the original poster does. I go to
systemsettings to change the resolution but when I click "apply", nothing
happens.
I've done a strace -f systemsettings > /tmp/sys-trace 2>&1which is
at
I'd like to reopen this bug as I see it in gutsy. Don't know if this is the
right place for it though.
If I'm doing this wrong, feel free to close the bug or do whatever is
appropriate.

Good afternoon,
I am wondering if you are still having problems w/ this bug? If so could you
please provide more information on what version of Kubuntu you are having
problems adjusting the resolution? Is this actually in the installer
(Ubiquity) or on the DesktopCD?
