Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center
When browsing the graphics section in software center, gpsdrive is listed: "Map-based navigation system that displays the current position provided by a GPS receiver on a zoomable map. Maps can be downloaded from different map providers or rendered on-the-fly using the OpenStreetMap dataset. Route planning, optionally with spoken directions, is supported through waypoints." this is hardly a "graphics" app, and should be moved to "other" or "science". For example, on apple's website, routebuddy is categorized as a "math and science" app: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/math_science/routebuddy.html ** Affects: gpsdrive (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gpsdrive (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - gpsdrive is incorrectly categorized + gpsdrive is incorrectly categorized in software-center -- gpsdrive is incorrectly categorized in software-center https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/498705 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
