Sorry for delay. I test today with the lastest version of lucid and all
works fine. No issues with DRM or KMS. Only with Usplash, maybe I report
another bug with this.

After the dist-upgrade from 9.04 - 10.04 ubuntu runs only in low
graphics mode.
