Can anyone please retest again on Ubuntu 10.10 and let us know this this
bug still occurs? (the original bug about the segfault)
It does look like another videocard driver bug, and we've already marked
it Invalid in the Mixxx bug tracker.

I'm almost certain this is a bug in your videocard drivers or your MESA
distribution. Please update your drivers and see if the problem goes
away.
We've seen many similar reports with vague crashes inside OpenGL
functions, and they've always turned out to be bad videocard drivers.
For that reason,

oops. i started mixxx while having an up-and-running jack and it worked.
now it works anytime i start it without jack. problem solved for me, but
