Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: alsa-utils

A fresh install Karmic works fine, but it seems after the recent update,
the sound card stop working.

The lspci -vvnn shows:

        Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel
        Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel

Tried:
- Test previous kernel
- Install the Ubuntu Audio Dev team PPA
- Install/uninstall sl-modem-daemon
- Add sound option in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf - #options snd-hda-intel
probe_mask=1
- Reinstall  linux-sound-base, alsa-base, and alsa-utils

But none of the above work.
