bug now has enough information provided for a developer to begin work so
I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

I have already explained that this symptom is -not- a bug in alsa or
pulseaudio, so please don't belabor the point. Moreover, you may use
several workarounds if you insist on using jaunty's kernel in karmic,
namely see the wiki page for DebuggingSoundProblems and follow the
(rather prominent) link

if you get the same with rhythmbox and mplayer that's not a rhythmbox
issue then. the bug needs to be reassigned.

I did, but I downgraded, because it can't support my graphic card but in
low resolution mode (nVidia 96 module)
