For what it is worth, in Lucid (10.04) Toshiba Tecra S5 suspends and
resumes without any tweaks using nouveau.
For nvidia-current (195.36.15), I modified "/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d
/98video-quirk-db-handler" and added "--quirk-s3-mode" and "--
quirk-s3-bios" to "elif using_nvidia" and "elif have_n

I just discovered something interesting.
1. I plugged a second monitor do my labtop (my TV) to watch a movie.
2. After it ended i closed the lid suspending my labtop.
3. A few hours later i detached it from the TV (still suspended) and plugged it
into the AC Power.
