If you're using the GTK+ version of the PPA as advertised in the post at 'OMG!
Ubuntu', then you should keep all error reporting in bug #491521. This is
because the RGBA enabled version of GTK+ is patched and not the same as the
regular library that is included by default in the Lucid

I'm not at home at the moment, but I'll check the version of GTK when I
get back.
What I do remember is that the first install of lucid worked really
well. Then I decided to mess around with GTK using this post as a guide
at which point I experience the problems I mentioned.

The version I have installed is 2.19.1-1ubuntu1(lucid).
There is another one available which looks like the generic plain lucid
version called 2.19.1-1(lucid). When I select the properties of the
package.
