You just have to downgrade the one package. Start synaptic, find the
xserver-xorg-video-intel package, highlight it, then open the "package" menu
and select "force version". Pick the older version of the package and tell
synaptic to apply changes. Then either restart X or reboot your machine.

Thanks for the tip... But how do I "downgrade"? And in that case is it
possible to go down to the driver that was used at 8.10? Because if I
dont use the latest drivers then I guess I'll have the problem that the
lines in Mytourbook isn't Visible as was the reason why I in the

On further investigation, this seems to be a bug in the latest intel
graphics drivers. Using synaptic, I downgraded the package xserverxorg-
video-intel to version 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2 and the problem went away.

I have this same problem. The common points are the i915 intel card,
Karmic, and the latest driver set from xorg-edgers/ppa.
