Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center
I was using software-center to install GnuCash on my lucid installation. With 18-hour-old package lists, I was greeted 3% in (past "loading software list", IIRC) with a dialog informing me a number of untrusted packages would need to be installed. The only choice was "OK". Once clicking "OK" I could then cancel the installation. There were no options to update the software ilst, nor any hints that updating the software list was the right thing to do. This seems like it would be a *very* scary dialog. I used update-manager to update the package lists (and installed some updates while I was at it), and GnuCash now installs successfully.
