though, you should contact the xubuntu team rather than open a bug on
the totem source

However, be aware that changes to default applications will require
discussion on the mailing list. We do need to be able to see comparisons
of applications and will require a reason for change. The fact that
another application
totem is GNOME, Parole is xulrunner based on gstreamer, it would be wise
to change it.
However, I don't really feel that I care anyway to be honest, I use an
xfce minimal install using the ubuntu mini.iso.
