I haven't tried installing FGLRX drivers and probably won't either. Since the
open source R300 driver works great on my Radeon 9800PRO.
But after a visit to this site:

It seems that there is a workaround :
- For GDM : add AlwaysRestartServer=true in section [daemon] of
/etc/gdm/gdm.conf-custom (it works for me)
- For KDM : Add TerminateServer=true in section [X-:*-Core] of

I find that strange also.
Since I picked 'fglrx-driver' under package name and then when I posted this it
gave me this:
'linux-restricted-modules-2.6.8.1 (Ubuntu)'
Please fix it if U can since I am only able to change the description.
Or if U wish I can also start another BUG REPORT??

2.6.15-25-k7 doesn't seem to be in the system, so I am filing it under
linux-restricted-modules-k7 .
