Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
I am currently setting up Ubuntu 9:10. Thanks John Chee for your helpful webpage "https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper". There seems to be a couple of slightly incorrect or missing details: Towards the bottom of section "2.2. Installing Packages (With Internet access on another computer)" 1 I believe that "sudo dpkg -i ndiswrapper-utils_*.deb" should be "sudo dpkg -i ndiswrapper-utils-*.deb" (the underscore should be a hyphen) to prevent the error "dpkg: error processing ndiswrapper-utils_*.deb (--install): cannot access archive: No such file or directory". 2 Just before this I also think there needs to be the terminal command "sudo dpkg -i ndiswrapper-common_*.deb" to avoid the error "dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of ndiswrapper-utils-1.9: ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 depends on ndiswrapper-common; however: Package ndiswrapper-common is not installed." I was going to try editing it myself but it seems that editing is not possible only new pages. I was also unsure whether I was reading the context wrong as this section may be part of "2.2.2. Older Releases" rather than both being the same level but I couldn't find these details elsewhere in section 2.2. Thanks to all for your contributions.
