This appears to be fixed in Edgy as of 2006/10/25. The fonts seem to
have issues, but they install fine.

i've tried removing the package, and now it's blocking installation of
other packages:
error message:
(Reading database ... 264224 files and directories currently installed.)

.../culmus-fancy_0.0.20051018-2_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement
the problem was fixed by downloading:
culmus-fancy_0.0.20051018-1_all.deb (older version)
from:
http://linux-m32r.org/dists/sid/main/binary-all/
and force-installing it, and then purging culmus-fancy.
the culmus-fancy package in the repos is still broken, though.
