To manage notifications about this bug go to:
even worse if someone start gtk creator with.
usb-creator-gtk -i mini.iso
then the application does't say that it has selected another image that what
was specified.
At least it should output an error message

I have the same problem too. USB-Creator does not recognize/add to the
list of images (Oneiric). Hope you can fix this or someone offer a
workaround.
