Since this is a problem of the camera being not detected. This is not a
bug in cheese.
Kindly file a bug in using the following command:
ubuntu-bug linux
This will collect the information required to further debug this problem

Hi, I have the same problem in final release of 10.04 UNR with my Targa
1016, which is a clone of MSI Wind U100. In 9.04 I had no problems with
webcam.

Same problem here with a POV Mobii. But this isn't a problem of cheese.
gstreamer-properties doesn't show any camera anymore, /dev/video* is also
missing, and even lsusb doesn't show anything, so t is probably a linux
problem. Kernel version is 2.6.32-20.30, but the problem exists already for

Also, Is the webcam detected when you test the webcam when running
$ gstreamer-properties

I have the same problem after upgrading to Lucid on my EEE 1000H. OpenCV
and cheese both do not find the camera. I wish I knew what the hidden
dependency between them is so I can try and fix the problem.
