I think maybe this isn't really KDE integration related. This might be
related to the sensible-browser vs xdg-open issue in Debian/Ubuntu. I am
currently in discussion with the maintainers of both in Debian to try to
get an official stance on what to do with them.

Have installed a version of openoffice without KDE integration, cannot
reproduce the bug without KDE integration.
