Getting the same issue on an Asus z71 using today's released kernel,
2.6.15-26-45 Booted normally w/o the splash screen and get the
following:
udevplug[978]: make_queue: unable to create /dev/.udev/queue: No such
file or directory

I can confirm that it does indeed boot completely after waiting at least
3 minutes and not more than 5 minutes.
