Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

On kubuntu karmic, every attempt to update extensions through "tools"
→"extensions management"→"check updates" makes openoffice.org crashing.

This is what I get when launching the application from konsole:

~$ soffice
~$ QPixmap: It is not safe to use pixmaps outside the GUI thread
QPixmap: It is not safe to use pixmaps outside the GUI thread
QPixmap: It is not safe to use pixmaps outside the GUI thread
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint on a null pixmap
X-Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
        Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea)
        Resource ID: 0x0
        Serial No: 9520 (9520)
These errors are reported asynchronously,
set environment variable SAL_SYNCHRONIZE to 1 to help debugging

Apparently, after the crash, it does not come back to :~$

:~$ apt-cache policy openoffice.org
