Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
On kubuntu karmic, every attempt to update extensions through "tools" →"extensions management"→"check updates" makes openoffice.org crashing. This is what I get when launching the application from konsole: ~$ soffice ~$ QPixmap: It is not safe to use pixmaps outside the GUI thread QPixmap: It is not safe to use pixmaps outside the GUI thread QPixmap: It is not safe to use pixmaps outside the GUI thread QPainter::begin: Cannot paint on a null pixmap X-Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) Major opcode: 62 (X_CopyArea) Resource ID: 0x0 Serial No: 9520 (9520) These errors are reported asynchronously, set environment variable SAL_SYNCHRONIZE to 1 to help debugging Apparently, after the crash, it does not come back to :~$ :~$ apt-cache policy openoffice.org openoffice.org: Installato: 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 Candidato: 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 Tabella versione: *** 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status :~$ ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Jan 19 12:15:57 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: openoffice.org-core 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 [modified: var/lib/openoffice/basis3.1/program/services.rdb] ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=it_IT:it:en_GB:en PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-17.54-generic SourcePackage: openoffice.org Uname: Linux 2.6.31-17-generic i686 ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- updating extensions triggers openoffice.org crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509585 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
