Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
The gnome-display-properties panel does not remember the layout of the screen, and is also affected by a bug similar to #351900 where changing the layout will garble the X display and force me to disconnect. In my case, I have a laptop with a dock and an external monitor plugged to the dock. Every time I put the laptop back in the dock, I have to start the display properties, re-adjust the screen layout (external monitor to the left, laptop to the right) and click "apply" -- these settings should be remembered. Also after hitting "apply", the X display is garbled (parts of the laptop screen are displayed on the external monitor), which forces me to disconnect and reconnect for everything to work fine.
