Pedro, I did not test on Maverick as requested but the issue has been corrected elsewhere. I just transferred a 4.1gb file from the same OSX box that does have the complete line "vfs objects = notify_kqueue,darwinacl,darwin_streams" in the smb.conf file of OSX. The issue *may* have been corrected

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GVFS is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu)

Thanks for doing all the research. I'm sorry for reporting a bug which in the end seems to be just an configuration isue. However it confuses me that manually mounting the share with lfs option also solves the problem. It was thereby that I was assuming the problem was a bug in gvfs. Bart -- 2 G

File size limit removed by editing the file /etc/smb.conf on the OSX machine and removing ",darwin_streams" from the line : vfs objects = notify_kqueue,darwinacl,darwin_streams So it seems that named streams on OSX 10.6.3 shares are causing the 2 GB size restriction in this instance. Bill -- 2

I just ran into the same 2 GB limit issue after performing a clean install of Ubuntu 10.04 and attempting to restore files from a OSX (Snow Leopard) share. The file that fails is 2.8 GB in size and gives an "invalid argument" error when reaching 2 GB. I did some testing to see if the issue is ope

I attached the ouput of the above statement. I deleted all the repeating GVfsJobRead debug info otherwise the dump would be over 2 MB with useless data. I left the beginning and the end unchanged. kind regards. ** Attachment added: "ouput of GVFS_DEBUG=1 /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd -r" http://launchpa

May you please run gvfs as: GVFS_DEBUG=1 /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd -r ; copy the files with gvfs-copy and attach that resulting output to the report? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete **
