AFAIK this was an issue with ZTE modems not being properly detected, so
I'll go ahead and mark this Fix Released because I really think it's
been taken care of by now (ZTE devices work now. I know my MF636 does).
Luis, please make sure your device has a SIM in it, that it's not PIN
locked, or even
I recently started seeing this problem on an OQO model 02. I'm going
through the debugging steps, but it appears that the kernel sees the
modem on two devices /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1.
I wonder if this is the normal behavior as this used to work just find a
few weeks ago. This is on:
Ubuntu
Fixed by following instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingModemmanager/ (upgraded everything in
the repository)
The NM_PPP_DEBUG revealed an error after upgrading to daily, in
/tmp/nm.log.txt
/usr/sbin/pppd: /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.5/nm-pppd-plugin.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such
