Have you tried the upgrade a second time? There are cases where a process
causes the upgrade to fail, but a subsequent attempt runs cleanly. I'd be
interested in your results.

Yes I have tried. In fact this report has been generated during the
second partial attempt of updating. I was unable to send you the first
one because during the update my network has been temporarily
unavailable.

Ok, ok. First of all I would say that I'm grateful to you for your interest and
friendly helpfulness.
I forgot to say it before. ;-)
As you stated before, running one more time the upgrading of Ubuntu should have
fixed the problem I've had.
This has not worked for me immediately because I was
