Still no good. I've installed the package gears and its dependencies,
but GMail offlineimap does not work and claims to require Gears
installation still. Upon installing gears as a Firefox plugin, I get:
Google Gears could not be installed because it is not compatible with
your Firefox build type

Hi!
Yes, I tried that. But after installation firefox doesn't start anymore.
The symbol stays for a couple of seconds and nothing happens. After
killing the package, firefox works fine again - without gears...

Should be easily fixable, since Gears can be installed directly from
http://gears.google.com/ in Lucid with no problem at all.
