This was fixed (entirely differently) with this upload:

dependency loop-breaking doesn't take update-gtk-immodules away from us.

Although I don't have an Edgy installation right now, by looking at the
source I think I can confirm this bug.
The problem is that scim-gtk2-immodule calls /usr/sbin/update-gtk-
immodule in its postrm script, but this command is in package
libgtk2.0-bin, which can be removed before or at the same
