Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10
How to reproduce.
1) create a second user
2) Use switch user to login to that session and login which typically comes up
on the CTRL-ALT-F9 key
3) Switch back via CTRL-ALT-F7 to first user instance. You will need to enter
your password again
4) Insert any device. I used a USB stick. Wait for gnome to recognize the
device
5) Switch back to CTRL-ALT-F9 second user instance and notice the white blank
rectangle on the screen.
No ability to close that white screen, minimize it or maximize. It seems
impossible to get rid of without logging off the user.
6) Go back to CTRL-ALT-F7 and right click on the device to safely remove and
close windows associated with it
7) Go back to CTRL-ALT-F9 and notice that white screen is still present (Note:
my wife uses the alternate session and is
annoyed by her desktop showing this white rectangle.

Please see screen shot.
