Apport might have created the report, but it didn't send it (when the
dialog pops up telling you a program has crashed you have the option of
sending the report, which you did not do). You only attached the crash
file to the bug report, which we can't process.
Anyway, I deleted the crash file to
I have Ubuntu 9.10. When I'm trying to send the report created by
apport, I get an error that some required components of it are obsolete
and I'm asked to update them. It's is a stupidity while running on
LiveCD (unfortunately I can't install Ubuntu on my hard drive because
the risk of loosing all
There are good reasons we only accept crash reports for the newest
versions:
1) The crash might be fixed in a newer version
2) We only store debug symbols for the latest versions in the archive so if we
allowed you to submit the crash report with outdated packages on your system,
the retracer
then tell me why Ubuntu 9.10 was relased with already outdated library's
(like they weren't updated since Ubuntu 7.10) ?
