No problem with ISOs. I downloaded the same iso (ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso).
You can check by yourself by mounting the iso as a loopback device: sudo mkdir /mnt/disk sudo mount ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso /mnt/disk cd /mnt/disk md5sum -c md5sum.txt | grep -v "ok$" sudo umount /mnt/disk I get no error. Burning the iso should not change this result. You probably have an hardware issue (try another disk burner/reader). I will close this bug. Reopen it if you haven't the same result that I have. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- iso file ubuntu 9.10 checksum error on burning https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
