I am experiencing this bug both in Firefox and Google Chrome. So it
seems to be due to the flash player. As such, I marked it as a duplicate
of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-
same for me with the latest updates on 2010-03-18.

Follow up - I used a Firefox addon to download one of the flash videos
that has no sound. Using Totem to play it, the sound is fine.
