I've managed to get KDE up and running by running an apt-get install
--reinstall. Now the onlypending problem is the akonadi error. I'll
post there about that problem.

Well which repository have you added? also try and rename your .kde folder to
something like : .kde_old : using a tty and then login with KDM.
Many users are experiencing this as there is a migration problem with the new
packages.
