Ubuntu better.You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Do you get the same with latest Lucid packages or in Maverick?

I have the same problem and it even worse - mounted FTP volumes shown on the
desktop or in the left pane of Nautilus cannot be opened showing error message:
Could not display ftp://address%20the%20current%20directory;

when connecting to a ftp server nautilus saves the wrong mount bookmark
