This showed up for me after the updater hung up and required a 120 reset to get
out of it.
Everything else appears to work, just the adept updater complains that some app
is using the database. :(

It happened to me!!! I was trying to update the JRE plugin for mozilla
when it froze. It was able to download the package but not install it.
And after that incident, adept remained frozen in the background even if
i already restarted my computer.
Incidentally, how do you kill a locked package in
