Sorry, I think I cant help you anymore, because I upgraded to lucid
before I had done that. Now I cant start the ubuntuone client anymore
and so I think I cant help you. Sorry.

Oh, sorry, I didn't explain me well.
If you do ps -eaf | grep ubuntuone-client you will always see one
process, that is the grep that you're running in that very sentence.
So it's ok to have *only* that line, the Ubuntu One client is closed,
and you continue with your info collection.

After I termed all I could find (ubuntuoneclient etc.) and type
ps -eaf | grep ubuntuone-client as you said there is ever a message like
username 19910 19889 0 20:08 pts/200:00:00 grep ubuntuone-client
when I#am searching for the pids (if they are pids?) 19910 (could find nothing)

then start ubuntuone-client-applet from the command line.
