should make it into thunderbird-3.0 but they work in 3.0 testing
packages it just that it replies to everyone not just list, that is bad
behavour, Its kind oif like spam to reply to everyone on the comment you

No need to fix this on our end. the patch is just about ready for

At the moment it's like this:
- In Thunderbird 1.5 with patch applied and EnigMail installed, ReplyToList
works.
- In Thunderbird 2.0 you don't need EnigMail, but:
* Either you turn on "Show All Headers", then you can use ReplyToList version
2.*
* or you add "List-Post" to mailnews.headers.
we are unable to fix this for edgy, feisty, or gutsy at this time since it
is not a security issue. please let me know what version you are using of
ubuntu and reply to list version. this works on my gutsy and hardy systems i
havent tried it on other systems in a long time.

OK just tested reply to list 3.0 and it works here on a clean profile. heres
what i did for test.
mv ~/.mozilla-thunderbird ~/.mozilla-thunderbird.old
run thunderbird set up one account, install extension, add it to tbird panel
and so far no issues. No need to change header veiw nothing please tr

enigmail only but that shouldnt effect the reply-to-list. If you are in
gutsy can you please upgrade to 2.0.0.8, i enabled show all headers than
disabled it to show normal and it still works

I tested with tbird 2.0.0.6 from ubuntu. I deactivated all my other plugins
except enigmail to be sure and get the same result:
when using view->headers->normal headers the button is grey.
It doesn't matter whether you "expand" or "collapse" header in the mail window
itself. Just the option in vi
ok seems tbird 2.0.0.6 and reply-to-list are fine even without showing
all headers. Please redownload and install the .xpi again from
http://alumnit.ca/wiki/attachments/replytolist-0.2.0.xpi as i got it
working without doing anything differnet including using the same
profile as i have been.

I would like everyone that had issues with it to test and give feedback
please. Fabian this will not be released for Gutsy, we can only upload
security releases for stable releases. We had patched this in

Reply-To-List works, but only when you have configured thunderbird to show
_all_ headers.
When you select "normal" headers, the button get's greyed out, cause the
extension doesn't find the List-Post header anymore.

IIRC the there is an upstream bug stating that it worked with pre final
2.0.0.x thunderbird and not after. I havent had a whole lot of time to
work on this yet, last time i tested it it failed to work with final
2.0.0.x

No dont use feisty packages in edgy. Thunderbird is almost impossiblet o use
between versions like using feistys in edgy due to libc6 depends. We are unable
to backport firefox and thunderbird as they dont meet the requirments. I will
talk to Alexander(our mozilla maintainer) and see if he minds

Well, the reply to list function works good, but with your package,
Alexander, I get the "Do you want to use Mozilla Thunderbird as default
mail program" each time I start TB. No matter which option I use and
whether I set the remember checkbox or not.

It would be nice to have this feature implemented, especially because
most of the official Ubuntu mailinglist don't use the reply-to address,
so there's no one-click solution for replying to mailinglists.

This has been driving me nuts. Evolution and Kmail beat Thunderbird
hands down when it comes to all things mailing lists.
The problem is, I otherwise like Thunderbird better, so I stick with it.
I'd love to see this patch make it into Edgy, but I fear it's too late
at this point.
