FWIW: I use equivs for it until openafs kernel modules are better integrated
into the kernel upgrade
procedure:
$ cat gutsy/openafs-module-generic
### Commented entries have reasonable defaults.
### Uncomment to edit them.

Agreed and it would also be nice to have a meta package that depends on
latest available openafs module package.
