I had the same problem as Renato Rosa, also on amd64. It tried first
with libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio installed, and then with -pulsaudio
removed but -alsa installed. This is not through a cd upgrade though,
but with the normal update manager over the internet. It turns out that
the problem is cause
When I run update-manager to upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04 (adm64) I still
get the following:

Re-Instated libsdl1.2debian
I uploaded a seeds update the other day that fixes this bug for me. I
can now upgrade from hardy to lucid with cdrom and no network.

It looks like its enough to have libsdl1.2debian on the CD to get rid of
the error. Given that its tiny I just seed it.

the other way, against libsdl1.2debian-alsa, so I don't see anything we
can improve there. The libsdl1.2debian-alsa in lucid also still has a
