Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer
I downloaded the xubuntu 9.10 alternate install on Thursday and then successfully installed the software on my old notebook with 128MB of RAM. When I boot the PC the GNU Grub version 1.97 beta comes up and when I select Ubutu, Linix 2.6.31-14 generic I get the error, "You need to load the kernel first". I verified both the CD and my PCs 128MB of memory and they are good. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Need to load the kernel first error when I try to boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/529244 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
