Public bug reported: Binary package hint: os-prober
On Karmic, os-prober fails to recognize linux installations with LUKS crypted root partition (which is pretty common on laptops nowadays). linux-boot-prober at least finds partitions when they are luksOpen'ed, but /usr/lib/os-probes-mounted/90linux-distro doesn't even try to look at /dev/mapper partitions or to use linux-boot-prober.
