What version of Ubuntu do you use?
In Dapper pdfs clicked in firefox are normally opened in Evince document viewer
and printed from there.
What application do you use

When I try to print a document using gpdf the job works, but
nothing comes out of the printer. The printer works, I confirmed
this by printing using OpenOffice. The job shows up as
completed job. But nothing ever came out of the printer.
