Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I ma using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala 32 bit and Openoffice.org 3.1 Which
comes by default, and the problem is it's not checking any spellings,
even when I am writing wrong English (US_en) words, if I am switching to
manual spellchecker then it saying 'The spellchecking is complete' with
out any fixes! What to do? Please help

The spell check is not working, it assuming all the words are correct even when 
it's not, when I am clicking on spelling check then it showing 'The spellcheck 
is complete'.
