I've tried to follow the procedure, but I'm confused because it's
basically been fixed for Maverick, which should solve 1 and 2, and when
trying to "Nominate for release" under 3 I can't find Lucid in the list.
Am I missing something?

Olivier, you can definitely handle this yourself up to the point of
upload into 'lucid-proposed', for which you'll need a sponsor.

By the way I downloaded the package from Maverick and it works just
