I can confirm that installing the new Wine version from the PPA fixes
this bug.

I didn't have this bug when I updated to Karmic from Jaunty, but this
appears on a clean installation. On my PC, the window is not 100% the
width of the screen to right, but almost (maybe 1600 of 1920 or
something).
