Hi Henning,
thanks for your test. This is exactly what I did, when I tried gmrun
half a year ago. However it looks as if either it is fixed in a newer
version or I made some other mistake at the time. Which version did you
try?

Sorry, I tried to reproduce and I think I cant...
Here is the procedure I tried.
1) within ~/.gmrunrc add "TermExec = xfce4-terminal -x" line
2) start gmrun
3) type xcalc
4) Ctrl-Enter
--> See xcalc with xfce4-terminal
...thus it works - now cross check if it doesnt work without -x
5) within ~/.
I am setting this bug back to "new" status until it can be confirmed. I
do not have the knowledge/experience to confirm this issue.

gmrun has a feature to execute a command in a terminal (press ctrl+enter
after entering the command). To accomplish that, it passes the command
and its argument as the argument list of the terminal. However most
contemporary terminal emulators require the user to prepend the commands
to be executed
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Is the issue that you reported reproducible with the live
environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Maverick
Meerkat? It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can
work on getting it
