Public bug reported: I'm running a current edgy box and I'm having problems w/ network- manager and the atheros chip in my T42p. Basically, if I have network- manager enabled it causes madwifi to get into a very weird state where it refuses to associate. If on the other hand I disable it (close the applet). I can sometimes eventually (takes a while) to force it to associate. Once I removed it and rebooted, I was able to associate right away. This is without any crypto.
