Did you try updating the lists and then installing again? Maybe it was a
hiccup on the mirror. Apart from that, your sources.list is not
'complete' - you can try:
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper main restricted universe
multiverse
deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper
I am using Dapper. My sources.list file contains the following entries:
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper main restricted universe
multiverse
deb http://packages.freecontrib.org/ubuntu/plf/ dapper free non-free
deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper main restricted unive
I cannot reproduce this symptom on either current Dapper or current
Edgy.
