Public bug reported: Hello there,
when i install the closed-source-driver for my Dell Zino HD Wireless LAN-Card, the GTK-Jockey does not activate it in the /etc/network/interfaces. The part of the /etc/network/interfaces is: # The primary network interface auto eth0 #iface eth0 inet dhcp when i remove the # and do a reboot, wireless lan works fine. The driver is listed in the jockey as "Boardcom-STA-Funk-LAN-Treiber" (in my german distribution). These package contains Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver for use with Broadcom's BCM4311-, BCM4312-, BCM4321-, andBCM4322-based hardware. in there attachement, theres the result from 'lspci'. greetings from germany, karsten kulach ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- GTK-Jockey does not activate the network interface https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/543030 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
