Binary package hint: plymouth
When I boot 10.04 beta I see a bunch of text for several seconds before
I see a blinking cursor then right before I reach the GDM screen the
splash will pop up for about a second. When I log out I just see a bunch
of orange text on a purple screen. I don't see the splash at all.
