For my case the problem disappeared when I used the image from

This one seems to have a special kernel witch supports my SATA controller (some
new model from NVIDIA I think).
Later I found a page dedicated to my Mac Mini
I think I have the same problem.
I got my brand new Mac Mini (newest generation) this week and of course
I have to install some kind of Linux on it :-)
First I tried Debian 5.05 AMD64 which could not detect my cdrom driver.
Then I tried Ubuntu 9.10 which didn't boot at all.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from

When you see the keyboard equals accessibility icon on the very first
